• Anal Fissures - a small split or tear in the anal membrane that may cause painful bowel movements and bleeding.
  • Autoimmune disorders - any group of illness or disorder associated with the bodies own reactions or auto destruction.

  • Gas - excess gas or air can be found in the abdomen. It is characterized by flatulence, burping or belching.

  • Immune system - a complex network of cells, cell products and cell-tissues that protect the body from foreign substances, destroys harmful cells and removes debris. If system is weakened the body is unable to effectively carry out and protect itself from infection or disease.
  • Intestines - also known as the bowels. They are the organs extending from the stomach to the anus.
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome - a disorder of the lower intestine that is often worsened by stress and is characterized by abdominal pain, bloating and irregular bowel movements.
  • Microbes - organisms unable to be seen by the naked eye, can be considered germs, bugs or organism.
  • Minerals - obtained from foods, these inorganic elements are essential to the functioning of the human body. Ex. Sodium, calcium, iron, etc.
  • Multivitamin - a pill or tablet containing several vitamins necessary for healthy body function.
  • Omega-3 - a type of unsaturated fat found in fish and plants.
  • Parasites - are living things that use other living things, such as the body, for food and as a place to live. Can be contracted through contaminated food, water, bug bites or sexual contact.
  • Peptic Ulcers - an erosion of the membrane in the lower esophagus or stomach caused by the corrosive action of gastric juices.
  • Processed foods - foods that have been altered from their natural state for extending shelf life or for safety reasons.
  • Vitamin deficiency - a state resulting from the lack of vitamins or inability to absorb vitamins. May result in growth and development problems or disease.
