Following a healthy diet and exercising regularly sometimes does not give the results that it should. Keeping a healthy weight is important not only for general health but for self esteem as well.
Many people do find success from diet and exercise, but for those having problems with their weight, there are little things you can do with your diet and exercise that have proven to aid in weight loss. Add some of the following suggestions to your weight loss plan and increase your chance of obtaining that healthy weight.
- Write it down. Writing out your plan, goals, struggles, etc. is a great way to stay motivated, organized and see where you need to improve. It also helps you feel more organized and accomplished.
- Relax. Stress triggers cortisol to release in your abdomen and the cortisol retains fat. Make sure you are taking time to relax and learn some ways to address situational stress so you don’t get caught in a tense moment.
- Chew Slowly. When we eat too quickly our brains aren’t sent the ‘full’ signal until it is too late. Try counting or thinking of a sentence as you chew to help your brain get the important signals that its time to be done.
- Colonics. Colonics are a great way to help drop those last few pounds and clean your system so that it functions better. Perhaps weight loss is being hindered by poor mineral absorption which a colonic can help remedy. And don’t worry; there are oral colonic cleansing systems.
- Don’t rush. Introducing lifestyle changes can be very important to the success or failure of reaching a healthy weight. Those that rush into running 4 miles when they haven’t ran in years are quicker to feel like a failure and give up. Focus on gradually introducing changes and the weight will come off.
